How to finish homework without getting distracted

Choose one assignment

Start with one worksheet, one essay section, or one set of questions. If the assignment is large, split it into separate focus locks so each session has a clear ending.

Put the materials in front of you

Open the textbook, school portal, notes, calculator, or document you need before the lock starts. This keeps setup from becoming another reason to reach for a distracting app.

Write a finish line you can show

Examples include “all questions answered,” “introduction and first body paragraph written,” or “assignment submitted.” The goal is not to write a perfect description; it is to make the result visible.

Block the distractions

Finish, then upload proof
