Done: Focus Lock
Terms of Use
Effective date: August 10, 2026
These terms explain the rules for using Done, including accounts, proof checks, subscriptions, Screen Time controls, deletion, and support.
1. Agreement to These Terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Done: Focus Lock, donefocuslock.com, and the related features, content, and services we provide (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account, starting a trial, purchasing a subscription, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.
2. Application License and Apple Terms
The mobile application is licensed, not sold. Your license to use the iOS and iPadOS application is governed by Apple's Standard End User License Agreement. These Terms supplement that license and govern the account, subscription, website, proof-verification, and other services provided by us. If these Terms conflict with the Apple Standard EULA regarding the application license, the Apple Standard EULA controls for that subject.
3. Eligibility
You may use the Service only if you are legally permitted to do so in your country or region. If you have not reached the age at which you may enter into these Terms independently, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept them on your behalf and supervise your use. A parent or guardian who permits a minor to use the Service is responsible for that minor's use to the extent permitted by law.
4. Accounts and Credentials
You must provide accurate and current account information and keep it updated. You are responsible for activity conducted through your account and for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and linked authentication providers. You may not transfer, sell, or allow unauthorized use of your account. Notify us promptly if you reasonably believe your account has been compromised.
5. Description of the Service
Done: Focus Lock is a productivity and accountability service that allows users to define a task and its completion criteria, use supported Apple Screen Time controls to reduce selected distractions, submit evidence of completion, and maintain a task history. Features may vary by device, operating-system version, permissions, subscription status, region, and technical availability. The Service is not an emergency, medical, legal, educational, employment, or safety service.
6. Screen Time Controls and Device Permissions
Screen Time controls depend on Apple frameworks, permissions, device settings, and the applications, categories, or websites you select. You remain responsible for your selections, emergency access, accessibility requirements, device supervision, and safe use of your device. We do not warrant that every restriction will operate without interruption or in every configuration.
7. User Content and Proof Submissions
You are responsible for task descriptions, completion criteria, images, files, explanations, and other material you submit ("User Content"). You represent that you have the rights and permissions necessary to submit User Content and that it does not violate law or another person's rights.
You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, transmit, reproduce, and process it only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, support, and improve the Service and comply with legal obligations. This license ends when the content is deleted from active systems, subject to lawful retention, security records, and routine backups.
8. AI-Assisted Verification
The Service may use automated systems, including artificial intelligence, to compare task details with submitted evidence. Automated results may be incomplete, inaccurate, or inconsistent and may accept unsuitable evidence or reject valid evidence. A verification result indicates only that the submitted material appears consistent with the criteria provided; it does not certify quality, accuracy, authorship, academic credit, safety, legality, or professional compliance. You remain responsible for reviewing and acting on any result.
9. Acceptable Use
You may not use the Service to violate law or another person's rights; submit unlawful, deceptive, malicious, or infringing content; impersonate another person; falsify evidence; interfere with or disrupt the Service; gain unauthorized access; bypass security, subscription, referral, or usage controls; introduce harmful code; conduct abusive automated requests; or reverse engineer protected components except where applicable law expressly permits it. You may not restrict or monitor another person's device without lawful authority and any required consent.
10. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, design, branding, text, graphics, interfaces, and non-user content, is owned by or licensed to the developer of Done: Focus Lock and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited rights expressly granted under the applicable application license and these Terms, no right, title, or interest in the Service is transferred to you.
11. Subscriptions and Automatic Renewal
Paid features may be offered through automatically renewing App Store subscriptions. The price, billing period, introductory offer, trial period, and other purchase terms displayed in the Apple purchase sheet at the time of purchase form part of your transaction. Unless cancelled, an auto-renewable subscription renews at the end of each billing period and Apple charges the payment method associated with your Apple Account in accordance with Apple's terms and applicable law.
12. Trials, Promotions, and Referral Access
Trials, promotional access, referral benefits, and complimentary entitlements may be subject to eligibility rules, duration limits, account limits, regional availability, and additional offer terms. Unless the Apple purchase sheet states otherwise, a subscription trial converts to a paid auto-renewable subscription when the trial ends. We may suspend or revoke promotional access obtained through error, fraud, abuse, duplication, or violation of applicable offer terms.
13. Cancellation, Billing, and Refunds
Apple processes App Store payments and controls payment methods, billing, renewal, cancellation, and refund decisions. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple subscription settings. Cancellation generally takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless Apple states otherwise. Refund requests must be submitted to Apple and are subject to Apple's policies and applicable law.
14. Account Deletion and Its Consequences
Deleting a Done account is permanent and cannot be undone. Once deletion is completed, the account cannot be reopened, recovered, merged, or restored by customer support. Creating a new account with the same email address or sign-in provider does not restore the deleted account or any information, status, or benefits associated with it.
Account-linked profile information, onboarding responses, preferences, task and progress history, proof submissions, verification results, settings, and access rights may be permanently deleted or lost. You should preserve any information or materials you wish to retain before submitting a deletion request. Certain limited records may be retained where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal compliance, enforcement of these Terms, or routine backup retention, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Deleting your Done account, uninstalling the application, losing access to an email address, or ceasing use of the Service does not cancel an App Store subscription or free trial and does not submit a refund request. You must manage billing, cancellation, and refund requests separately through Apple.
15. Third-Party Services
The Service interoperates with third-party products and services, including Apple platform services, authentication providers, cloud infrastructure, email delivery, and AI-processing services. Your use of third-party services may be governed by separate terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party products, acts, omissions, or service interruptions outside our reasonable control.
16. Service Availability and Modifications
We may update, modify, add, limit, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service and may perform maintenance as reasonably necessary. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation. Availability may be affected by networks, device settings, Apple services, operating-system changes, provider outages, maintenance, security events, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
17. Suspension and Termination
We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect users or the Service, address fraud or abuse, comply with law or legal process, respond to security risks, or enforce these Terms. Where appropriate and legally required, we will provide notice or an opportunity to address the issue. You may stop using the Service at any time and may request account deletion through the in-app process.
18. Disclaimers of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement to the extent those warranties may lawfully be disclaimed. We do not warrant that Screen Time restrictions will always operate, that evidence will always be evaluated correctly, or that use of the Service will produce any particular personal, academic, professional, or other result.
19. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, neither we nor our service providers will be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, opportunity, profits, goodwill, or business interruption arising out of or relating to the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including rights available under mandatory consumer-protection law.
20. Your Responsibility
To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for claims, losses, and expenses arising from your unlawful use of the Service, your violation of another person's rights, or your material breach of these Terms. This provision does not apply to the extent a claim results from our own unlawful conduct or where such responsibility is prohibited by applicable law.
21. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms to reflect changes to the Service, applicable law, security requirements, or business practices. The current version will be made available through the Service or at donefocuslock.com with an updated effective date. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent. Revised Terms apply prospectively from their stated effective date.
22. General Terms and Consumer Rights
These Terms, the Privacy Policy, any applicable offer terms, and the Apple Standard EULA constitute the agreements applicable to your use of the Service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our consent; we may assign these Terms as part of a merger, reorganization, sale, or transfer of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits non-waivable rights available under applicable consumer law.
